well i thought that, with the u.s. and religion debates going down, people would want to maybe learn some stuff about politics...wow i butchered that sentence!

so here's my contribution of recommended political books, please add some of your own.

Malcolm X - Autobiography.
this is the only document that has made me take religion seriously at all. killer book

The Prince - Niccolo Machiavelli
really self-explanatory...the definitive book on political science.

The Dark Side of Camelot - Seymour M. Hersh
really interesting book about JFK

The Kennedys and Cuba: the declassified documentary history. - Mark J. White
crazy....reading this in conjunction with Hersh will leave you with no confidence whatsoever in the United States.

Culture Warrior by Bill O'rielly

It obviously has a right wing spin on it... but it gives great insight into where America (and the whole country for that matter) is going... It exposes the left wing biased media among other things

I couldn't stand it... I was supposed to read it in grade 11 but only got a couple paragraphs in... Then I had to read it again in grade 12 and it was read out loud by a class full of retards so It took a whole month... It ruined any chance I had of enjoying that book.

I just finished Machiavelli's The Prince for about the third time but I really like Benjamin R. Barbers' books, Jihad Vs. McWorld and Fear's Empire: War, Terrorism, and Democracy. However, a lot of his other books are very well written and I have a mean (got an A+ on it in university) essay to go along with Fear's Empire.
