The pikes broke, no real relevance to the frame breaking is it.

Though some may argue it shows the strength of the frame, the forks breaking instead of the frame, but a broke steerer like that could be manufacturing defect.

6 foot drops is pretty gnar on a 140mm bike. I'd say it can handle it though, just keep an eye on those frame welds.
i can do about 5 feet to flat on it ind im not the lightest person out there lol, and i dont have to worry about damaging the bike bye bottoming the suspension cuz the frame is so strong

Got a buddy to throw a medium pitch frame on some scales, with headset, seatclamp and RP2, 3.02kg or 6.65lbs. It's only a little bit heavier than a yeti 575 Eek

hm, tempted to see how lite it could be built..... with 150mm fork, excentric bushings for the shock (low and slack is good) and other goodies

My Pitch I'm running it light with 1x10 (now running an MRP G2 mini guide) dual air Rev's, tubeless, reverb and an RP23 HV which is shimmed (perfect ramp up while staying supple)

I'm dead on 5'7" without shoes and I'm able to get my hands on a 2011 Pitch Comp in medium or small. I ride trail/xc.

The guys in the shop seem to think a medium is right and small would be too small (they need to order in either size so they're not just trying to move floor stock).

I've had a quick street ride on medium (no smalls in stock) and it seems ok. Am I missing something about the long sizing you guys are talking about (I've only been riding a year)?
