The wheels are Spank Oozy 395's on Hope Pro 4 hubs. The saddle bag is a Timbuk2 but I've replaced it with a SpeedSleev Smuggler. Sorry for the late reply it's been a while since I've been on here.
my fuel EX 9, 650B, Yari x XT x Renthal Carbon. Love this bike, I think it's a 2015 ? it's 142 spacing...Bought the frame and shock and everything transferred from my Hardtail!
Picked up a 2018 Fuel EX 8 from my LBS. I was surprised to see it on the shelf and actually a part of the Trek Summer sale so I snatched it on the last day of it. This thing is a incredibly spec'd bike for the money. Carbon wheels and a GX Eagle. (Don't mind the reflectors and pie-plate, I'm still kind of on the fence about it)
Nice bike, but those aren't carbon wheels unless you spent the extra $1400 (CAD) to upgrade to the line elite pro wheelset.
Carbon hoops for sure. I wonder if he had to pay extra ? He didn't mention it if he did..kinda hard to believe a shop would just give them away but , I guess anything is possible.
The sticker on the rear wheel is clearly labeled "LINE COMP 30." Is that a carbon rim? If so, I have carbon on my 2018 EX8 XT that was $2,650 out the door, but it sure looks like aluminum.
Here's my Fuel-EX, Picked her up second hand for a decent price from a local shop, was originally looking for a more XC 29er, ended up with an absolute weapon of a bike. Was originally built up by the shop from the frame only carbon option (2016, 27,5 in 18.5"), Fox factory 32's, XTR cranks, XT drivetrain, Crossmax SL hoops. Only thing it needs is a dropper to replace the carbon Enve post that's fitted. This absolutely flies! its super light, so planted and confident in corners, super stiff. Just an awesome bike. Never been happier with a bike purchase, and I've been riding over 20 years.
