If you were choosing a build kit for the new Mojo 3, Where would you first spend your money? On the front and rear suspension, the drive train, the wheels?

They offer a special blend build, but it appears there is possibly a performance or weight penalty with some of the components. Some
Parts Are upgradeable when ordering this build

I must say that I'm very interested in the X01 eagle 1x12, as I spend a fair amount of time in granny, but not sure this is worth the extra $300.

If you have any suggestions and know the weight of specific builds, I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

I ride the Mojo 3 with Pike upfront, full XT and the new Ibis Carbon wheels. I did pay a little bit more than I thought in the first place but damn I'm happy I did! The new wheels with the industry 9 hubs are just crazy good.

I have had the hd3 large since July 2016 and I have to say it is just amazing! The bike is so nimble and does anything you want it to do...and i mean anything. It's gone to downhill parks and worked very well, Kingdom Trails in Burke VT and tons of Massachusetts rocky rooted trails.

My build is the Eagle X01 12 speed w the Fox 36 fork and the float x2 on the rear, guide RSC brakes, carbon ibis bar w Thompson 60mm stem, lev dropper, carbon 742 ibis wheels and I9 hubs w Maxxis DHF tires. I run the tire pressure at 21 rear and 19 front...mind you I'm 5-11 235 and it grips like no tomorrow.
Bike climbs like a Billy goat and goes down like a breeze. The most capable bike I've ever ridden so if your in the market...demo one for a ride and you'll be sold...I was!
By the way my build was $8400 but it is worth every penny. I'll be riding this for many years to come.

I've an Hd3 and built it custom having got just the frame. I think it just depends on budget - you're clearly going to have a better bike the more you spend, but how much can you realistically justify? Personally I had a bit of money to burn at the time and things were abit crappy at home so I went as all out as I could afford. I am terrible at spending a little extra on bits and pieces so wanted the bike to be as un-upgradable as possible after the initial purchase to keep me in check, which has worked to some extent...

Out of the things you've listed though I'd be looking at getting the best wheels and suspension I could. They make the most difference to the ride, are the most expensive things to replace, and are less disposable than other items...

Being Canadian I had to pay the 35% " I really love this bike fee"(exchange rate.) plus 14% sales tax.
I went with the Special blend 1x NX build and I got the factory float Fox34.

This alone cost me 6500 Canadian out the door price.

I took the Reverb from my old it was replacing as it was only 1 year old and fresh from an Overhaul

I bought the bike in September and being the end of the season I got a great deal on a 1 x XT build to replace the NX and a Carbon Bar from Jenson.

I saved almost 2000 Canadian on the XT build.
