Cable stuck in shifter HELP!

Hey All. Stupidly ive managed to get the cable end stuck in my shifter as i was trying to change the cable. the cable is whole and intact but the end has moved off the runner and stuck in the top of the casing. does anyone have any advice on how i can fix this? Barry
