Need to replace the damaged hoses anyway. Any reason not to buy some bling silver braided Hope hose and attach with Shimano olive?

Goodridge kits looks to only be available for $130...Nope.

Discovered Shimano hose has a 2.1mm inside diameter, while Hope/Goodridge look to have a 2.0mm inside diameter.
So, likely too big of a difference to use Shimano hardware. All well, no bling silver hoses. :'0

Ah, very interesting! Thank you. I would have thought the 2.1 hoses too loose for the Hope hardware.
The investigation is reopened

i used them in an emergency when i damaged my front an rear cable one day before an enduro race. they are still on now since 10 months.

when i got my new dh frame i also used shimano für the rear breake. so i run 4 hope tech3 e4 and 3 of them on shimano hoses.

Yeah I ended up putting some on there once I sorted out the fitting hardware, running cherry.

.1mm ... And that is enough to make a difference?! .... IDTS
I put on the braided hoses and have had no problems.

Oh Lord, was nearly a decade ago but Goodridge sold fittings that fit at that time.

Again, this was back in January 2017 and using 2015 brakes, but at that time looked up that generation's fitting sizes on Shimano and went on the Goodridge website (Goodridge.com at a guess) and ordered them from one of their retailers.

Though that brake received incremental changes every model year, with complete model overhauls in 16, 19, 23, 25 so probably not relevant unless you're running 2015 or earlier brakes.

yeah don’t overthink it

that setup (XG-795 + X0 DH mech) is made to run 11-speed chains, even if it’s a 7-speed cassette

so just run:

any SRAM 11s chain (PC1110, PC1130, PC1170, etc)
or Shimano / KMC 11s, they’ll work too

don’t use 6/7/8 speed chains, they’re too wide
