Thanks I'll check them today. By broken do you mean it sounds like the bearings are worn out or actually broken? They surely can't be worn out because the bike is only 4 months old

Inside the cartridge bearing is a steel cage that holds the balls. They can break, crack or a small piece comes off inside.

Depending on how much you ride, how heavy you are, how aggressively you ride and the quality and strength of the headset, then yes the headset could have a broken race in under 4 months.

Everything is possible . just remove fork and check bearing and post pics/results.

I doubt it. Not enough load on there to make it crack like that.
