So I got into trials recently and found a trials bike in my area, I don't know anything about trials but would love to hear some expert opinions on what to do, I'd love to get into it and was wondering if this is a good deal, or am I about to screw myself?

I would get it. It is pretty cheap and it is a good bike to learn on. And if you feel like you would still want to ride trials after a little while you would not be set back to far from this purchase. Just make sure all the parts are in good working order. If the brakes do not imediatly lock up your wheels with a good clamp of the lever do NOT get it. Most brakes these days can cost upwards of 300 dollars.
