Up to 2023 models used the 230x60mm shock ti get 160mm travel. The 2024 went with a longer shock 230x62.5 to get 167mm of travel. It states in the manual that all models are compatible with the longer shock. Check out pages 20 & 38 in the Bluepaper technical manual.

Hey—apologies in advance if I’m rehashing here, but does anyone know the maximum stroke length on the float x2 on a 2022 rallon? I sent my shock into Fox as a 230x60 and got a 230x62.5 in return. Can the frame take the bump up in travel? Will it violate the warranty if I don’t add a spacer? Thanks!

Ok thanks. I assume it's an updated manual for 2024 to which you are referring? I've got the version for my 2022 and on page 20 it says the shock for both 29 and mullet are 230x60 and by page 38 it's transitioned to the Spanish version lol. I'll look up the newer one on the Orbea site.
I have a 2023 rallon. I got a new sdu coil shock(latest model). It makes a buncj of creaking at the front shoxk mount/hardware. Ive swapped hardware and it fixes the sound for 1 descent then comes back. Weird thing is if I put on my float x2 shock theres no issue. Any idea what the problem is?
i am the new owner of Oreba Rallon R5. I built bike from new components, but frame is second-hand (with new linkage to 160mm).
I read some comments here, but i wonder which shock suit better on Rallon R5. I have DVO Topaz Air on bike, but i feel its not plush as i expected (mainly on small bumps, rocks etc.)
So i wonder if i should go for X2 air shock or spring shock with progressive spring (550lbs)? I have like 230lbs with my gear and i ride mainly bikeparks etc.
Fox DHX2 snapped in my Rallon. It's a well-known issue with bikes using this suspension system, something I unfortunately learned after the fact. Orbea in Rallon 2022-24 exceeded max allowed by fox strut length. Orbea rejected the warranty claim and refused to replace the damaged frame. I detailed the entire situation in another thread, including Orbea's full assessment and technical analysis.
