issues with cables under BB?

Should i be worried about cable location under bb on the new 2018 mach 6 or 5.5 carbon? Id hate to be in a race and smash the cable in half on a rock,etc. Any issues out there? Thanks

I ride a switchblade in Southern California and in my area we have several trails that are litered with loose rocks that get thrown up by the front wheel. I also work for a Pivot dealer and have never seen any Pivots come in with a damaged or severed cable nor have I had any issues with mine. I would think that if a rock was sharp enough or thrown hard enough up by the wheel to damage or sever the housing, you would have other problems like a damaged downtube.

How 'bout use some 3m tape to cover it and help it from damaging the downtube?

Don't worry about it. you can put some Velcro on the frame if you wanted
