HI all,

Currently building up a giant reign still wondering between a coil and air shock. Does anyone have an experience with coil shocks on reigns, do they lack support? does it have a good feel? is the suspension design to liner for a coil?

This bike will be a mini downhill/enduro bike

I have reign 2015 with coil and pretty happy with that.

I’m running a DVO Topaz on the rear of my bike and do not feel the need for a coil at all. The topaz uses a bladder instead of an IFP and it is everybit as sensitive as a coil because of that. It made my float x2 feel a bit like poop in comparison. Just my two cents

I've run both a FOX DHX2 and a Fox float X on my 16 reign advanced. I moved to the DHX2 after having bottoming out issues. Although the coil feels nice, I think I should have spent more time playing with the volume spacers on the Float X and saved the additional weight.
