my bike has been standing in the living room for the last couple of months and now suddenly my dropper post started able to be pushed down and go up again without pushing the remote. i removed the post from the mechanism to check the cable moves freely, and it does, but upon re-assembly the remote is unable to be pushed in at all. what is wrong here?

Not sure about the second issue, but the push down by hand issue sounds like it needs a brake reset. You can find the procedure on their site. I had a similar issue and that fixed it for me. Seems to be a common thing.

wish i tried that first, read about it after i removed it. but how to get the lever to actuate again? something must be wrong with the post or im assembling wrong somehow even tho it seems everything is ok. mechanism screws into the post just fine, cable moves freely.

Wish I could help on that part. Sounds like you’ve already double checked your reinstall, which would be my only suggestion.

Hopefully someone else on here can chime in. Otherwise I’d call RF and see if they can help.
