Haven’t been in the bike scene for awhile and I recently picked up a dirt jumping bike only to find out dirt jumping is pretty much dead.
Few things I have found out
Marzocchi is gone no more DJ forks
No more Rockshox DJ forks
Is Manitou still making DJ forks?
26” is on its last legs most of the tires are discontinued

I don’t understand why the industry has killed dirt jumping.

Don’t know much, I don’t. But all three of those brands are still making dj forks. I’m pretty certain anyway, with Rockshox having updated the graphics for this year. Marzocchi have also been purchased by Fox so there might be more coming.

I think you're a little confused. Modern dirt jump bikes are now called slopestyle bikes. Rockshox and Fox still make 100 mm DJ forks.

It's not dead, just having a slight break

DJ isn't dead......yet. It's always been the fringe part of MTB. Only the few have ever been part of it when you look at whole of the MTB population.
But I will say it's the MTB industry itself that's sabotaging the growth of DJ. I personally blame the whole 29" and enduro segment. The industry wants to mainstream everything for everybody for sake of sales!
Quite honestly I don't want "everybody" on the trails......but seems the industry does.

The brands mentioned do still make DJ forks. And deals can still be found on frames,parts,wheels,tires...etc.
I am bummed that some of the frame makers that actually got big by making DJ frames are stopping though Frown

I really hope so, Dirt jumping got me into biking.
I’m wondering how is anyone going to get into biking if it dies completely

There are actually so many 26 dirt jump bikes from the brands to buy! From Canyon to YT, trek to specialized. The market has so much to choose from

Same as frames, Santa Cruz to transition.

I was looking for Kenda , Maxxis , Schwalbe at a bunch of local bike shops but they were all discontinued. I think dmr was the only one available.

I don't think they keep them in stock because its a sort of niche thing, but they're probably available to order in.

RS still makes the Pike DJ last I looked and the Manitou Circus is everywhere
We've sold dozens of Maxxis DTHs over the last 8 months, not sure what shops you've been going to but they can be ordered in, Schwalbe Table Top, Specialized Rhythm, Kenda Small Block 8

not sure if trolling

Not trolling I went to 3 shops and they couldn’t order any of those tires. They all said discontinued on the computer.
