350 Plus - anything beyond prototype?

I'm trying to find some information on the 350-series "Plus" fork that MZ put out in 2015. They are listed on MZ's support page, although no page is linked to the entry, and I can't seem to find any review or indeed information beyond the sparse photos from Sea Otter 2015, where it's seen bolted to the front of an MDE prototype bike.

Having contacted MDE, I was told that after the Fox purchase, they're not sure what happened to the project, and the Marzocchi contact emails are simply returned blank.

So, does anyone have any info about what happened to this fork? The prototype in the photos floating around sure looks like a well polished production model, but then again, such items often disappear into obscurity by mergers and acquisitions.
