BB help

I'm struggling with my BB. I have an 2016 Uzzi which has a 73mm BB. I'm using GXP bearings with a sram crank. I'm not supposed to need spacers but when I thighten everything up I still have a slight about of play in the crank arms laterally. Both bearings and cranks are new. What am I missing?

I may be totally off on this but what about a pre-load adjuster?

Do you have the plastic dust cover on the non drive side bearing, and torqued the arm to spec?
Maybe clean off the splines on the spindle and inside the crank arm real well and re grease them.
