Hi all - a question for anyone that's ridden Maydena.
I'm planning a trip to Maydena Bike Park in the next 6 months or so.
I'm a mediocre to average kind of rider - probably the biggest drop I've ever done is 6 to 8 feet.
Is a dual crown bike absolutely necessary for the park? or is it fine on a single crown (I've got a Warden and a Process 165 to choose from).
Cheers.
I did 4 days back to back on a 160/160 Specialized Enduro. At a minimum I recommend 160. Did all the trails except the pro lines and bike did the job fine. So to answer your question, no it isn't necessary. DH bikes will reduce fatigue and give you some room for error. There is next to no pedalling there if you're using the shuttle. You'll have a blast on either bike, just pick whichever bike you feel most comfortable descending and doing jumps.
