Does anyone have experience with moose fat bikes? Want to buy my first fat bike and they’ve got one online right now for 800$

Can't say as I have, but there are so many on the market now. All I can say is, you get what you pay for. And at $800 for a brand new bike, well I might have a look at the buy and sell here. For an extra few hundred you could find a pretty good used bike. I did. Again, I haven't heard of Moose Fatbikes, but hey, they could be great!

So I decided to look up these Moose bikes, not bad. Canadian made, and warranty sounds good, base model is a base model though. The other two models look better, but cost goes up as well. I'll be looking for a review from whoever gets one first!

I thought about the Moose bike for my first Fat bike and then looked at the specs and thought I would end up upgrading almost everything so ended buying a Felt DD30 and don't regret spending the extra cash as really there is nothing that needs upgrading (famous last words)

I would recommend looking at a entry level Norco, it seems well spec'd and decent price.

I've bought the base model Moose 1 last year and I can say for the price you can't got wrong.

Over the last year I did about 400km on it. I haven't had any issue with the bike other than regular maintenance...including replacing chain, pack hub, etc..

I bought a couple of the entry level Moose fatbikes for my wife and I last year and we are both very pleased with them. No mechanical issues with either bike thus far. The Tektro mechanical disk brakes were adequate but required a very hard pull on the lever so I upgraded both bikes to Shimano hydraulic brakes. I also upgraded to 4.8 inch tires but that was mostly a personal preference. The tires the bike came with rode very well on the road and bike trails in our area. We've loaded them up for a couple bikepacking trips and ridden all over the place on them and they are holding up just fine so far. My avatar pic is my bike posing on one of the local railway trails.

I got the moose fat 2 a couple weeks ago but haven't really had the time to take it out...will comment again when I've used it a bit.

Uh, Moose bikes are designed in Canada but very much built overseas. Please don't spread misinformation about Moose building bikes in Canada. They are not.
