HI! please re-direct me if in wrong forum. I am looking at the thule t2 platform rack.i have spoken with an employee at thule and he specified that a 27.5 wheel will not fit that rack as the ad specifies not for 27.5! also,3 other bike shops did not know that was true. also, the ad specifies it will fit up to 29" wheels. I do not understand? is the wheel well where the wheel fits different sizes?----2.5,2.5,3.0 rim sizes?(plus sizes).just curious if anyone on here is hauling a 27.5 bike in this rack? and how is it? thanks!

that makes no sense.
Which model T2 is it?
Are you talking about wheel diameter or tire width?
My original T2 ("classic") wheel arm did not fit a 29" wheel, so I bought an updated arm for it, but I think all current models have the longer arms.
They have "wells" available for different tire widths (up to fat).

I looked on there website under t2 classic and pro.it does specify it will not fit a 27.5 FATBIKE. thule rep just told me a 27.5. so I guess it will fit 27.5 and 29er up to 3.0

It will absolutely work with 27.5 wheels. I sell them everyday and have no idea what they may have been referencing unless, as you say, they may have thought you were talking about 27.5 fat tires ... and even then the distinction should be made that even that application would be different from plus tires which it handles just fine as well.

have you ever heard of people complain about how the rack seems to bounce up and down while driving on semi-rough roads? mine does on my Nissan car.no one can give me a any solutions. 1-1/4 hitch.was told that's how it functions.

I own a T2 classic, bought it 18 months ago, fits my 29er no problem. The reason your rack bounces it because your hitch is not sturdy enough, this is why I had them fit a 2" receiver on my vehicle, my rack is super solid I sit and stand on it all the time. I had an old crv with a poor quality 1/4" hitch and my rack used to bounce like crazy, only thing that helped was literally strapping the thing to my spare tire.
