HMF vs HMX carbon

So I'm torn between the scott spark 900 rc wc and scott spark 900 rc pro. The wc comes with hmx carbon and the other with hmf. Is it worth the 1000E price just for some hundreds of grams lighter? Or is it more than this, I'm thinking about better impact resistance. Here we have alot of trails going through loose rocks and having rocks thrown into the downtube is something I wish I had no idea what it was.
