I would have to say the Transition Patrol Carbon. Incredibly stiff, takes big hits like nothing, and is built like a tank. The frame is rated to Downhill Standars.

No one's said it but Saracen Ariel is pretty great for enduro and with a bigger fork is a freeride machine.

I was really surprised to see that trek doesn't sell a model of the remedy with a coil shock, or at least a piggyback shock like the DPX2 or super deluxe.

I second the Slayer. Even though it broke during testing. The Trek Remedy is pretty fun though.

That is weird. The 2019's had the piggyback SD on some models.

I wouldn't call the Remedy "big". Definitely a BMX feeling MTB. Very nimble and playful.

Commencal Clash is likely to be my first “ free ride “ bike. Ticks all the boxes for me. Although not sure how it pedals compared to others....
