I’m 6’ With a 31” inseam and downsized to a medium with a 90mm stem. The reach on a ‘21 medium is only 5mm less than the previous generation’s large size.

At 5’10” you should fit the medium perfectly.

I chose a medium epic when I got a new one- honestly I love the racy feel of sizing down but for anything but racing and being super on edge all the time i’d go large at 180cm- because it take a lot of not relaxing to keep such a short reach from being a little too nimble/ quick to bump you off on a descent.

I depends on what you are looking for. If you like a longer reach then a large is your choice and if you are riding the bike more like a trail bike I think the large is the way to go. I have a 2021 Evo in medium and I am 5'8". The bike is perfect for me but I wouldn't want it any smaller at all and if I were 2 inches taller I think I would go for a large. If you are riding the bike more like a cross country or even burly gravel bike the medium with a longer stem might be appealing.

I am 5 10 with a 30 inseam and bought the large. I like a little bigger bike and it is almost perfect. I put a little wider and taller bar on and may swap the stem for a 40. Awesome bike.

I'm 5'10 as well and went with the large. My buddy who is two inches shorter than me got his medium before mine came in. I originally had a medium on order. After riding his, it just felt small to me. So, I changed my order to a large. It worked out better for me because I typically like to run shorter stems. I ended up going from a 60 to a 45 with wider bars and really like it. At 5'10, I kind of think we are a little in between the M and L, but you can adjust with bars or stems to make either work. I just don't like long stems on bikes.

Hope this helps.

Hi there. Did you end up purchasing an Epic Evo. I would imagine you could ride Large & Medium. As an FYI I am 5ft 6 (172cm) and i ride a Medium. If you look at the Specialized Epic Size guide you probably fall in between both sizes.

As it happens I sell Specialized bikes are very good discounts (I buy in bulk). I have some Epic Evos coming in in about a week if you were interested. Let me know if you are interested.

I'm curious. Why do you buy bikes in bulk, are you a dealer or bike shop owner?
