New bike help!

Hi everyone. I am looking to get a new bike at the end of the season. I need help deciding between a Ibis ripmo/AF, Evil Offering and a Yeti SB130. I need a versatile bike since this will be my only ride. Any help is appreciated. (posted in all forums to even out bias)

If it is your only bike I would recommend the yeti sb130. It is probably the best climber in the aggressive trail class. It has surperb downhill abilities as well. It depends on where you live, but the yeti is an awesome bike. It also will hold its resale value very well. Personally I’m looking at getting a ab130 over a Santa Cruz tallboy because I have waited 7 weeks already and was told it will not be here until mid October. I’m sorry I couldn’t air to the evil but I hope that I helped

Yeah the yetis a good all around bike. Just a tough choice

Very tough choice. I believe that world wide cycle has a video comparison between the two

I’ve had 50-ish bikes and Yeti’s Switch Infinity is Magic. I ride XC trails then DH runs with same setup and I don’t use a lockout for climbs, it doesn’t need it,

Evil is a fancy single pivot. Fine for DH or guys who don’t try better bikes so don’t know any better.

I think Ibis is DW-Link. I had a Pivot Mach 6 with DW-Link before my SB6 and my Yeti is better.

I think that's a fair point. Yeti's do have a great ride up and down. Only problem is the cost for me.

Yes Yetis are very expensive. I believe they are still made in Colorado instead of China like most bikes.

Designed in Colorado, made in Vietnam is what my SB130 says.

I am probably going to pull the trigger on a sb130 T1 build. Then convert it to a lunch ride. Any downsides going with a Sb130 vs a Ripmo?

I ordered an SB130 in September, expected it to be here this week but it has been delayed. I do highly recommend the sb130, it is so smooth and comfortable and natural feeling. I ordered the T1 and the reason its delayed is because Shimano is backed up so I am guessing most any bike at this point with Shimano components is going to be a while. Hoping for early November it sounds like, unless you can find a shop that has the bikes in stock. the Yeti is worth the wait

Would 100% agree. Not sure whether the 130 or ripmo is better though.

I recently got a yeti sb130 I went with the c2 with factory suspension and carbon rims. It is a wonderful climber and the geometry feels great to me. Super confident on the decent with great pedaling.

Good to hear. It should be plenty of bike and a great climber for all day adventures.
