Raceface ARC 30 vs. ARC 30 HD

I have a bike which came stock with Race Face AR rims and I have damaged the rear rim to the point I'm looking into replacement. I would like to build a rear wheel that sort of matches the front wheel and I'd rather not replace both wheels. I have read the ARC is stronger than the regular AR and the ARC HD is even stronger but with a weight penalty.

I'm wondering if anyone would recommend the ARC HD over the regular ARC for aggressive enduro riding? Or is that overkill? I am running cushcore and am a lighter rider so have been sticking to EXO casing. I generally care more about durability than weight savings, but would rather not add needless weight especially to the rolling mass.

I weight 240-250 lbs and run RaceFace ARC 30 HD on my Santa Cruz Chameleon (hardtail). They have been quite strong.

I’m 200lbs and broke the standard arc rims riding xc, I wouldn’t ride another one of those rims if they paid me to do it.

I built up a set of Arc 30 rims last summer, within 3 months I had already bent the rear rim. Replaced the rear with an Arc 30 HD. it's been good so far. I'm 6'2" and 210

Get the Arc 30 Hd rim. It's a Atlas rim with a higher spoke count that's E rated and DH. I use cushcore in front and back and have not had a single problem with them in over a year. Our trails are really rocky and can beat up rims with lower tire pressure. I'm running 23 Psi and have zero dents and they are always straight.
