Tubeless tires not sealing

Just installed tubeless on my 2016 giant reign 2 which comes tubeless ready and i put the slime in and got the bead seated and last night I pumped it up to 25 psi and this morning it was flat

was it slime for bike or just regular slime ? Regular slime doesn't work well at all for mountain bike

Not uncommon.

some tires will weep and take a bit of time to set up, its also helpful if you ride the bike around a bit to help the sealant get everywhere it needs to get.

Add more pressure, apply soapy water everywhere, watch for bubbles. IF something is bubbling thats your problem ... common problems are valve steam not seated correctly, tubless tape shifting during install (often seen as bubbling around nipples)

If nothing overtly bubbles, its likely an unsealed tire bead or slow weeping through the sidewall. add pressure, ride it around in the driveway.

Go to 40 psi, 25 is too low to properly seat and seal a new tire. Work the sealant around the tire for 3-4 minutes and let it sit. Watch a few YouTube videos about it.

What valve stems are they? Valves are usually the leakiest part, might need to double up your tubeless tape around the valve hole in the rim to get a better seal.

Also, what sealant are you using?

You need to start over. If the stem was leaking then fluid has gotten inside the rim and is working at the back side of your tape. You may get a few rides in but it won't hold.

I made the same mistake in my first attempt. Second attempt I used pliars to tighten the valve stem all the way down. I seem to still have a problem as dirt is collecting around the nipples meaning fluid is getting in the rim, which I'm very confused by as it's holding air like normal for a good month now (loses just a few psi over a few days).

I've been using gorilla tape but might have to try proper rim tape. Hoping third times the charm. But yeah, try try again

Well if you use slime, that is not going to work. You need to use a specific tubeless sealant such as stans or orange seal.

Well if you use slime, that is not going to work. You need to use a specific tubeless sealant such as stans or orange seal.

Slime does make a MTB specific tubeless sealant. Hopefully thats what was used.
