HI,I recently purchased a second hand 2018 yeti sb5.5 turq. Sram xo1 build/fox36.Just wondering about any insite/clues upon maintenance. Anything within the 5.5 that breaks down? What to look out for I guess? Thanks!

Yeti says to replace pivot bearings every year but that sounds excessive. Maybe every other year repack them? I am not sure if bad bearings can harm the carbo frame but a few years back I had a Giant with under specced bearings which basically welded themselves into the rear triangle. Took a lot of heat to get them out, guess that can't happen to carbon, but Id still have them checked at least once a year.

I replaced my stock link with a Cascade Components link & one bearing was almost seized and the other feels rough, so I’d agree with at least checking them annually if one rides a lot...
