Still, I'm currently looking for a new bike. Just like my friend. And we noticed how difficult it has become to find the right mountain bike. Yet, mountain biking should actually be straightforward - after all, the name is self-explanatory and suggests what it's about: mountains and bicycles. But over the years mountain biking has changed radically and differentiated accordingly. Over time, the market saw a gradual emergence of loads of sub-categories, boundaries fading. Modern mountain bikes are more versatile than ever before and yet have not lost their character.


As a result of these developments, there is a large selection of bicycles - for every type of rider, for every imaginable terrain, which makes it increasingly difficult for potential buyers to find the ideal mountain bike in this fast-growing market.


I'm extremely interested in what your experiences are like when looking for your dream bike. What are the challenges riders have to face when looking for a new mountain bike? Which sources of information are crucial when making a purchase decision?
