Apparently some people don’t care for the request. Deleting.

Should be earned on merit, not by manipulating the results by asking for people on a forum to vote. I'm a father, and would never ask for this for my son. From what you say I hope she gets the votes needed legitimately, and does well out of it, but if she wins on the basis that people voted on a forum then she doesn't deserve it and you have taught her a very poor lesson in life....

Sod off you!

She’s beaten everyone on that list several times over. And that’s how these things are done. Why do you think the slowest girl is getting more than 2x the votes of everyone else? Because she lives in the town where all the radio employees live. It ain’t because she’s the fastest, it ain’t for merit. My daughter’s PR last season was 19:10. So if it’s merit you want, she’s got it.

I hope you got some satisfaction from trying to put this father in his place. But for your information, I just think you’re pathetic and sad.

Next time just don’t vote, no need to waste the energy to post a pointless lecture to a complete stranger.

Seriously, well done to your daughter. She doesn't obviously need the accolade as her results speak for her. And what kind of accolade is it if everyone is simply drumming up support from "complete strangers"? Is it truly worthy? Is it something to be proud of? Something to tell the grandkids - "back in 2021 I won this award and 70% of the vote came from people who didn't even know me, ain't that amazing?". Come on man, you're approaching this as a popularity contest..its no better than aiming for Likes on an Instagram post. I'm not trying to put you in your place, I don't know you. But I'm simply responding to a post you put on a public forum. I just think it's the kind of thing we should not be teaching our children, but that's just my ooinion...But hey good luck to you and your daughter - I hope she wins as it means so much to you.
