Should I upgrade my pike to a Charger 2.1 damper?

I need to service my 2016 Rockshox Pike A2 27.5” 160mm travel fork with a charger 1 RCT3 damper, so I figured I would look into upgrading the damper and air spring while I’m at it. I already know the new Debonair air spring will be a good upgrade, so I plan on installing that and some new seals/dust wipers. My question is: would it be worth it for me to upgrade the damper as well? I would upgrade to an RC2, but it looks like the RC2 is not compatible with the A2 version of the pike (if this is not the case please tell me, but from my research it looks like the only pike compatible with the RC2 is the B1). Would the upgrade from my RCT3 damper with Charger 1 to an RCT3 with Charger 2.1 be worth it for $250? Are there any aftermarket dampers worth looking into?
Also, it seems to me like modern Rockshox dust wipers are perfectly good, and there is little reason to look into aftermarket ones. Is this correct?

For the money spent (retail $) to upgrade, you could spend maybe $150-200 more for a modern, better performing fork. There are insane deals on the internet right now that beat our cost! And the clean used stuff out there is great too.

I am doing a rebuild / 200hr service to the fork, adding the debonair air spring upgrade, all for about $80. The damper upgrade is only $140 now and mitigates a lot of the service kit parts too.

My wheel is 27.5” and non boost, so I am going to try and keep this going without too much money, but if an extra $140 for the damper upgrade makes the fork perform much better, then it is worth it for another couple of years.

You do make a good point though, and is something I am trying to be mindful of.

you could upgrade to a push HC97 since they are on sale for $97 USD right now.

That is an awesome price, but unfortunately I have a non boost fork (doesn’t fit non boost) and also requires the Charger 2 damper (at least). I have the original charger.
