2014 Trance Advanced sx upgrades...

Hello, I have a 2014 Trance Advanced sx, it runs great, but I'm looking to do some "modernizing."

I found these non boost 30mm rims with inserts on CRC for 400$ canadian. With 2.4-2.5 minions, this would improve traction and cornering

Then I thought wait what if I mullet it?

I've already got a 2019 140mm boost 29r fork with 51mm offset. I could get a non-boost 27.5 rear wheel and boost 29r front wheel.

so... has anyone done this on an older Trance? worth it?

Not worth it...sell everything you have and buy new Trance with updated geo and 29er wheels if you want them.

Hardly, the wheels will be 400$. like i said, the bike runs great.

Has anyone done a mullet setup on a trance?

Misread your input, thought you have spare forks etc.
Anyway you can check GMBN video - they did mullet thing recently. In general mullet bike is best with frames intended to go mullet, they usually have some settings you can change if you change wheel size (chainstay length, bb height etc.).
