I'm looking to buy the Capra pro when it releases the sizing chart for the medium is 5'3-5'7 and the large is 5'7 to 6'0. I am 5'7 should I buy the medium or large?
I’d like to know as well. I’m 5’ 9.5” and was told I should get a medium but their charts say I should buy large. I watch the site daily and only a large has been available as well.
I am 180 cm (5.9), and size large was spot on, perfect balance of stability and playfulness.
For 5.7 You should decide, if you want the handling to be more nimble(M) or more stable(L). Preference matter, techy trail vs speed ripping. No night and day difference though, but noticable for sure.
Agree, YT bikes tend to be shorter than usual size would suggest. Hope my experience helps.
thanks this did help and basically what YT emailed me. they suggest I should go for a medium so hopefully, that works well for me!

I have been watching stock and the ALUM PRO was finally available in a medium yesterday, so I pulled the trigger.
I'm a little over 5' 9" so I hope the medium is not too small.
I wanted to get one ordered as the stock seems to be going fast.
Only if You like cramped position. I don't think size M would be a great combination with your height. I came from a 18" (size M) Cube AMS 125 to the size L Capra, and they were pretty close in sitting position. I was very happy that I changed my order that time from M to L after checking the size chart on YT homepage. For comparison: https://fstatic1.mtb-news.de/v3/23/2341/2341506-04m0vlyiw8v7-wp_20181222_10_41_12_pro-large.jpg
Their size guide is wrong (on the imperial measurements) e.g. for Medium 175cm is equivalent to 5'9" not 5'7"
(However, 175cm is 5.7' - yes decimal feet is a thing apparently) But I think they have wrongly put decimal feet as feet and inches on their size chart - I think they made this same mistake back in 2016 with Jeffsy sizing!
Just measure yourself in decimal units - then everything will work on the size charts!

I see what you're saying. My reach is pretty short. I felt like my Specialized Enduro Medium was long. I am hoping the medium works out. I will update this page once it ships and I start riding it.
So I did some comparisons from my previous 2015 Specialized enduro comp to the new YT I just ordered.
I am very happy I went with a medium. Every spec on the YT medium is slightly larger than the specialized enduro i was just riding and in no way was my previous bike a small feel. I think a lot of the feel and preferring a medium at 5' 9" has to do with my limbs (long torso/short arms).
I'm 5'9 I ordered, after much deliberating, a Large AL. I tried the 2018 CF Large which felt pretty good, a little bit longer than what I'm used to, 2012 Meta SX Large. You need to consider that it comes with a 50mm stem, the CF I tried had a 35mm so I will probably have to swap that as i think the extra 25mm will make it awkward. If you do change any component from stock you will invalidate your warranty and frame exchange etc so be aware if you need to return it for whatever reason. You should return it to factory spec.
In my opinion, YT's sizing isn't quite correct. I'm 6'1 bordering 6'2 which puts me right on the spot for an xl or xxl, yet after judging the geo to my size large Canyon Strive, I opted for the large. Sure its a fraction shorter than my strive but I'm loving it so far, even though I'm almost 2 inches off the recommended size. Due to the chainstay length and the seattube, you can be more diverse in choosing the size as you can choose a certain size for the geometry instead of the actual size.
