Freezing mineral oil Shimano brakes

Hi everyone, I ride yr. Round is Saskatoon SK, canada. I have issues when the temperature goes below about -20 C. Which is fairly often. At this temp the lever pull gets very stiff and I often find some fluid leaking at the caliper after it warms up. Has anyone heard of a better fluid for low temperature riding? Maybe I just have to switch back to a DOT fluid brake.

I have had the same problem. Mech brakes or DOT brakes solve the problem. DOT brakes still get a stiff in the cold, mech brakes don't.
