I've got a Cube stereo hybrid 140 which is a 29er. my mate has got the identical bike but 160 (27.5) when I overhaul his headset im going to put his back wheel on mine and give it a blast. if all goes well I'll get myself a 27.5 wheel, tyre, rotar and cassette.

I'm aware that this will alter the geometry slightly and may make the front end a bit light on the climbs. other than that, is there anything else I should take into consideration?

O+

Your bottom bracket will get lower, if you have issues with pedal strikes currently take that into account

Your reach will get shorter as well.
