Can I increase the travel with a fork damper to 180mm from 170mm on a 29er Capra?

Fork is fox 38

And if so will that affect the handling geometry?

Yes- it will slacken your head tube angle and seat tube angle, and raise the BB height a hair. You might like it better for descending but not for climbing, or you may not notice it at all. If you do it to ride park vs. trail, no biggie but up to you to try and determine.

I slapped an MRP Bartlett on mine and went from 170 to 180, but my axle to crown didn't change as I can lower this since the stanchions aren't pressed in and MRP recommends a certain min length of stanchion to lower crown...

Hi. I have YT CAPRA PRO 2020 and I have problems tuning my shock.

It is very harsh on slow speeds and when I get through some obstacles for example getting off the curb. I made the SAG to 30% , tires tubeless with 1.55 atm but it still feels very harsh on slow speeds in the rear.

Do your bikes feel the same?

No, but you may have to play with your rebound and low speed compression settings. Have you looked for videos featuring your shock model, and Jordi Cortes' Fox bracketing techniques to dial in settings? That would be a good start.

I don't have low speed compression. It is select + not Ultimate.
I have only rebound 8 clicks.

What is your shock ?

Got it. I have a Fox 38 and MRP Bartlett forks, and am running an EXT Storia Lok V3 shock out back
