So I'm a younger rider who mainly rides on the east coast, in New Jersey/Pennsylvania. My family is taking a trip to Sedona Arizona this month and I of course plan to ride while they hike. Does anyone have tips or things I should know for riding looser terrain/ dealing with the heat of a place like that?
If you are renting a bike, then they will have the bike set up properly, tire pressure mostly. For you, 100 SPF sunscreen as the UV rays are brutal and 2 to 3 liters of water, hydration pack or water bottle combo, I throw ice cubes in both to keep it cool. An inflation kit is nice also, pumping up a deflated tire in the heat can be exhausting. If the tires are tubeless then you will not have as much of an issue with the cacti.
