Changing Manitou Sport Damper to Expert Damper?

Hey!

I've heard it is possible to change the damper in the manitou circus sport to the absolute damper that is in the circus expert by buying one part from manitou.

Is this possible and if so does anyone have any examples or an explanation of how to do it?

you CANNOT use the circus expert damper in the sport or comp

you CAN use the circus comp damper in the sport, which is a worthwhile upgrade for the fairly low cost


the expert uses aluminum stanchions, while the sport/comp are steel
this means the internal diameter of the tubes are different, and thus the dampers cant be swapped

Ah ok thanks. Do you know any guides to do the change myself or should I ask my LBS?
