Hi all, new to the forum so throwing out your usual preapology for not knowing something so as to not get chewed for it. I have an older(at least 12yrs) Litespeed and I would like to upgrade the groupo and some other stuff. Just not sure how to determine what, if any, more modern stuff is retrofittable to what I have. Campy wheels and full group with a Cane Creek headset.

Any feedback appreciated

Cheers,

Find the serial number underneath the bottom bracket shell and send it to Litespeed. From that they can tell you when it was made. As long as the component group has an English threaded bottom bracket, and the brakes are the one center bolt your good. There are many modern component groups that have disc brakes and press fit bottom brackets. These won't work on your frame. Typically Shimano people are the kind of people who work on there own bikes, and Campagnolo people are the kind that have the shop work on there bikes. Which is why I'm a Shimano guy. I hope this helps. -Jeremy
