Hello I'm new to this bike world as my son has taking up biking I don't know much about the parts. However he has a Sram X9 9 speed on his Giant Reign that needs replaced is there anyone out there that can tell me what to replace it with without replacing everything? Looks like I have to replace it with a GX ? Thank you in advance. Also first time ever writing on a forum so I hope this works lol

Hello new guy, looks like in 9 speed if he just needs the derailleur it is only x3,x4 and x5 with x5 being the nicest one. What is wrong with the current set up now?

Thanks for the reply! it’s broken and kinda smashed lol I’m from kelowna and all the bike shops said they couldn’t help trying to find something online but don’t really know what I’m looking for!
