Where to find XC / XCM Races

Ive recently gotten back into riding after a decade and a half break and I've had difficulty finding races. Is there a good resource for finding XC / XCM races?

Your best bet is asking at your LBS and Google your region/county/state looking for races.
ACTIVE (www.active.com) is also a good site to search. When I type "local bike races" into Google one of the first links is the ACTIVE site for my area.
If your local colleges or high schools have bike teams then the coaches will surely know. They probably have a team site that shows the whole calendar of races/locations.
Oddly enough, you can also find them on YouTube by going there and searching because people always post video of races. Just open YouTube and search "mtb race (your state)" and various other combinations and you will see the events that way too. Past events, sure, but a lot of them are annual races in a circuit and once you know the name of the race you can just Google it to find the updated schedule.
