Order bike and pay what the website says, then how is the import duty and tax charged? Did you even get charged or did it slip under the net? How accurate was the delivery time frame?

Hi Mark. I too was in the same boat and wanted to know how much extra cost, annoys me as didnt have to pay import before anyways thought share this link, its a import duty calculator and if do conversion to currency etc can work out what costs might be.

Hope this helps. I think cost for bike were about £200 depends on which bike. I ended up getting second hand Commie instead.

This is a response i got back from Commencal in Feb 2021 when i ordered my frame.

'On top of the invoice you will pay to COMMENCAL BICYCLES, at the delivery, you will have to pay the import duties (14%) and the VAT (20%) to DHL.
DHL administrative fees will be added as well, but it won’t be a big amount compared to the taxes'
