Is anyone aware of the changes (if any) that were made to the Fox 36 Grip2 damper after the 2020 model year?
I have a 2020 36 Factory Grip2 that I am going to send in for a full rebuild, and considered having the damper updated (because why not). However, I could have sworn they updated the damper, but now I am having trouble finding any details as to what changed.
If anyone can provide any info, greatly appreciated.
I could be wrong but as far as I understand it the Grip2 damper has not changed from 2020 to 2021. The different between these two model years is not the damper but with the lowers. The 2021’s and newer have the new redesigned arch, the air release buttons, and a floating axle.

I actually got a response from Fox on my service request and they were able to clarify the damper updates.
It’s supposedly just the compression topcap assembly that was updated to add VVC to the HSC, where on the 2020 and prior GRIP2, VVC was only on the HSR. They did also mention that you can just update the topcap for $100 instead of $360 for a new damper.
