Probably because it's significantly longer, slacker, and heavier than the bikes he's comparing it to.
Normally I ignore bike/betas reviews but the tester makes some good points here. If you have a heavy frame with super long slack enduro geo a smaller wheel isn't going to magically make a bike snappier, which reflects my experience with mullet bikes. Whereas the Bronson has shorter/steeper geo that compliments the smaller wheel better
I'd agree that I wouldn't define it as "Snappy". I think that wouldn't do its outright stability justice. Sure you can pop it off whatever you like and it'll let you absolutely rail berms but at the same time when it gets steep and chunky you feel like it's got your back
Either way, glad to see a review - people give a lot of attention (justifyably) to the Spire. But imo if you to sacrifice some of that outright speed for something that will bring you more a lot more fun then the Patrol is the bike
