I have a 2021 Trek Fuel EX7 and the stock NX Eagle 12 speed derailleur, chain and cassette are worn out after 1100 miles of rides and careful maintenance. I have a new NX chain on the shelf, can I swap the old NX derailleur and cassette for GX parts without a GX chain and shifter? Are the GX components more durable? Thanks for the help.

The nx cassette uses a hg free hub body. The gx and above uses xd. You will not be able to use the cassette but the derailleur shifter and chain will all work.
