Hi, has anyone had experience with a DT Swiss e 1900 spline wheelset? Wondering what's the difference with the ex 1700 spline as they cost quite differently?? I'm going to use the wheels for enduro racing so I need them to be strong(I don't really care about weight).

The 1900 uses their lowest quality hub with mediocre engagement from what I understand.

Alright thanks! The mediocre engagement might be a good point for pedal cickback(?). How about durability and toughness tho?

I was going to buy a set of these, but bought their fr 560 rim instead and built a wheel. I've never been one to buy high end wheels and have always had good luck and I weigh 230lbs. I don't think you can go wrong with the 1900's as DT Swiss makes strong rims in general and the 1900's are hand built so will have correct tension. They sell for 268 euro on Bike 24 online store. What I also like about DT Swiss is each rim has a max weight rating.

I have it on my YT Capra and the point where it's connected broke so it leaks, I have send it to dt swiss( 2024 November) and there saying it isn't under warranty after 4 months of waiting, NOW I NEED TO PAY 30€ SO THE CAN S ND A BROKEN WHEEL BACK. AND IF I DONT I BET THAT THEY GOING TO FIX IT AND RESEL IT. And I heard it now A HALF YEAR LATER

For enduro racing you will want to go with a more durable wheel set

I run a e1900 in the front but have the ex471 in the rear. The fr560 is a good option as well. The ex1700 is much stronger than the e1900. You will want a stronger wheel in the rear for enduro than the e1900.

Low engagement hubs are the way to go for enduro. High engagement hubs will destroy your suspension performance in an enduro setting, unless you are running an idler. Over time high engaging hubs can destroy the wheel a lot sooner as well.
