I ruptured the diaphragm in the lever master cylinder trying to get stubborn air out of the system. Does anyone know if you can but just the rubber diaphragm anywhere? I really don't want to spend $100 on a whole new lever, and I'm not sure I want to trust my Flex Seal "repair."

I had to Google round for this and I'm sorry to say that it's not a part that they have available for sale.

Best thing I can think of is maybe call Shimano and see if you can get it or maybe buy a used brake set if it’s cheaper and Just steal the diaphragm.

Shimano now sells the diaphragm but I've yet to see any store sell them other than AliExpress. If you are in a pinch, remove the ruptured diaphragm and clean it thoroughly in 90% isopropyl then carefully dab some Gorilla super glue to seal the rupture. I've managed to ride it for a few rides until the one I ordered off AliExpress arrived.

The only shop that had it on Aliexpress charged $20 shipping!! For $40 more I could have bought a full lever/master cylinder but unfortunately those were during the covid shortages.

Although this is an old comment NSMB.com recently had an article about this. They had success with using a small amount of rubber cement to plug the rupture. Also a full detailing of getting it in/out.
