Dropper and saddle spinning

My used dropper I just installed today is freely spinning in my seat tube. The saddle also freely rotates. How do I fix this? The mechanic said there's nothing i can do about it but I've heard of solutions before.

What size is your seat tube? and What size is the dropper post? is the size of you seat tube is larger than the dropper?

I take it you mean the saddle is spinning along with the seat post and not at the stantion? Sounds like the post Is too narrow for the frame. You could try a shim if this is the case.
