Thinking about buying a Meta HT pretty soon, i recently noticed that the 2022 version actually has the top and down tubes welded together before reaching the headtube, whereas the 2021 and previous gen's only are welded to the headtube. Does it change the frame's behaviour, and also is It the only change to the 2022 model ? Thanks
I run my size small (came as a mullet) as a full 29er and prefer it.
directly from the commencal website - Models are now fitted as standard with 29/27 wheels in sizes S/M and 29-inches in sizes L/XL - The frame can still fit a 27.5-inch and 29-inch wheel no matter what the frame size
my personal impression on mullet, it goes down fast. feels a bit more nimble. but does tech climbs and steep climbs a bit poorly.
cracked my 2020 medium HT , was running 27.5 x 2.8's and a 150 fork up front. super fun setup .
requested warranty 2 months ago. Not a peep from Commencal .
Cracked on the chainstays behind chain ring where there was damage from dropping the chain before i put a chain guide on it.
that really sucks....i also have some paint damage on my chainstay but I've never dropped a chain. i suspect a bit of chain suck, chipping the paint away.
