Due to my wheel set being old, my option for a 12 spd is nx eagle. Here is my plan, please let me kno if it fits or if I should use something else. Thanks

1. SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 11-50 12 Speed Cassette

2. SRAM Rear Derailleur GX Eagle 12 speed Lunar Max 52T

3. SRAM Shifter GX Eagle Trigger 12 speed Rear w Discrete Clamp Lunar

4. SRAM Crank GX Eagle DUB 12s 170 w Direct Mount 32t X-SYNC 2 Chainring Lunar

5. SRAM, PC-XX1 Eagle, Chain, Speed: 12, Links: 126, Rainbow

Looks good but considering how good the sales are for new bikes you're probably better off upgrading to a new bike at this point in time.

Otherwise, you probably don't need to upgrade your crankset. If your bike is a 3x or 2x you can probably convert the crankset to 1x with a cheap Chinese chainring for like $20 instead of buying cranks for $146.

I’d agree with this especially since other components on the bike will start going out and holding you as a rider back since it is a ten year old bike.

I have both Sram 11 speed, and 12 speed eagle on my bikes. I see no real advantage to 12 speed eagle over 11 speed other than increased range. 11 speed shifts consistently smoother, and stays in tune much easier. I would also be hesitant to put anything below GX on a bike, I have always found NX to be kind of cheap and not nearly as smooth.

If I were in your shoes, I would stick with Sram 11 speed, with a 10-42 cassette and if you want an easier climbing gear, throw on a smaller front chainring. The 27.5 wheels wll give you a lower gear ratio than 29 anyway.

Good luck, the Remedy is a great bike, including the older ones!
