Racing after having the Long Head Bicep Release

Hello , I just had rotator cuff repair surgery and the doc cut the long head of the bicep tendon . He didn't feel the need to re-attach it , dont know why . Question is has anyone ever had this done and how does it affect your mountain biking , especially like 6 hour races ?
