I’m moving to FL in a few weeks—an quite unfortunate location as a mountain biker. Seems the single track riding in the area is pretty dismal too, outside the almost 2h drive to Alafia.

Given this, I am hoping to maybe get into a dirt jump scene.

Are there dirt jumps in the Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice area? Or anything near Tampa? Also pump tracks would be welcomed too. Or am I stuck with just open days at the BMX track?

Where will you be exactly? I like in Lakewood Ranch and it's about 45 minutes to Alafia for me. We are there every weekend (except when my collarbone is broken, as it is now, oops)

There is a small (like two miles total) woods trail a mile from my house that is fun. It's not exactly a destination you'd go out of your way for, but if you're very close it's a nice spot to get a couple laps in.
