Full disclosure, I'm getting into trail mountain biking so I don't have enough experience to know exactly what I'm looking for. I used to ride DH but not trail/enduro years ago.
I don't mind if it's full suspension or hardtail and I don't care about the brand. From the bikes I've viewed in person, the TEAM MARIN 2 seemed good and if I find I want a big travel bike later, I can still keep it and use it for a different purpose if that makes sense.
I asked this same question on reddit and of what I was recommended, I really liked the YT Izzo Core 2.
I'm about 185cm or 6ft 1" and have quite long legs. I'm into lifting weights, so quite heavy at 237 lbs or 108kg (about 20-25% body fat currently). My budget is about ££2500, €3000 or $3200.
More into getting the views and cardio than going nuclear on a super spicy trail so I'm hoping for some suggestions like TEAM MARIN 2, an XC bike that is also comfortable on a trail or vice versa, a lightweight/medium-travel trail bike.
